Users with the permissions to edit benefits data are able to change the eligibility of an employee through the Benefits Administration App by following the below steps:
- Navigate to the Employees section and select the employee in question
- Click on the Eligibility tab, click Edit and Change Eligibility
- Select the line of coverage, effective date, and eligibility change
If you are making an employee eligible, it will not automatically prompt them to enroll in coverage - an enrollment window will need to be manually opened.
If you are making an employee ineligible who is already enrolled in coverage or has an active enrollment, they will first need to be removed from the applicable line of coverage.
Employees will not be notified when their eligibility has changed.
