COBRA Minimum Eligibility Rules
In some states, employees must have been active on benefits for a minimum number of months prior to moving to part-time of being terminated in order to be eligible for COBRA. This applies to companies that are classified as State COBRA and only in specific states.
In order to be eligible for COBRA in the states listed below, the time between the employee's benefits effective date to their benefits termination date must be greater than the number listed in the Minimum Months Enrolled column for their state.
