What happens to an employee’s Wealthcare Saver HSA when it's terminated?

When an employee is terminated in Zenefits, the HSA account will be re-associated to Wealthcare Saver the same day as termination.

They will not receive any further contributions after the termination date.

This process is similar to what happens to an employee’s HSA when an employer cancels the company’s HSA.

A new card will be issued and automatically sent to the employee. The employee will also receive a letter in the mail. Additionally, the HSA account number will remain the same.
