What is an HRA?

An HRA is an employer funded Health Reimbursement Account. Only employers contribute to HRAs. During setup of the company HRA plan in Zenefits, employers can choose the amount to contribute to employees who enroll. Additional contribution amounts can be set for employees with dependents. Zenefits does not support tiered contributions for HRAs. The administrator will also choose which medical insurance plans are HRA eligible, as well as if eligible employees should be auto enrolled or not. Zenefits HRAs can only be used for eligible medical expenses, and cannot be used to pay insurance premiums.

Note: Zenefits is not accepting new HRA clients.
