FAQs About Read Only Access (ROA)

Can I reactivate my Zenefits account after ROA ends?

No, this is not currently an option that is available. Please make sure to download all documents needed during your trial period. If you need access to your account for longer than the 30 day trial period, reach out to Customer Care to sign up for an annual subscription for Read Only Access during your trial period.

Does everyone receive a free ROA trial?

Yes, all customers will receive a free 30-day trial of Read Only Access. Once the trial has ended, you will have the option to purchase an annual subscription to Read Only Access.

How do I bulk download when my account is in ROA?

The bulk download feature is automatically enabled for all accounts in Read Only Access. Bulk downloads may be accessed through the Documents app in your Zenefits profile.

Where can I download payroll reports in ROA?

Payroll reports may be found in the Business Intelligence app under the "Premade Reports" tab.

How do I purchase an annual subscription to ROA if my trial has expired?

Once your ROA trial has expired, there is no option to purchase an annual subscription. If you would like to purchase an annual subscription, this must be done during the ROA trial period. If you would like to do this, please contact Customer Care before your 30 day trial period has ended.

How long is Read Only Access available?

ROA is available for 30-days once your Zenefits account has been canceled. During your 30-day trial, you will have the opportunity to purchase an annual subscription.

Once your 30-day trial has ended, you will lose access to your account if you did not purchase the annual subscription during your trial period.

Can I make changes to my Zenefits account when it's in ROA?

No. Once your account is in Read Only Access, you will not be able to make any changes to your data or settings.

What happens once my ROA trial expires?

Once your Read Only Access trial expires, you will no longer have access to your Zenefits account.

Which apps can Administrators access in ROA?

Administrators will have access to the following apps in Read Only Access:

  • Company Profile
  • Documents
  • Business Intelligence

To view a worker's profile, Administrators can click directly on their avatar at the top of their dashboard and select "See all." Worker profiles can also be viewed by navigating to the Documents app.

Which apps can employees access in ROA?

Employees will have access to the following apps when their company is in Read Only Access:

  • Personal Information
  • Paystubs (This is only available to companies who use Zenefits Payroll)

Please note, these are the only apps that you will have access to. All other apps will no longer be available on Read Only Access.
