Step 2: Setting Up Individual Profiles
Zenefits revolves around worker information. During this stage, you'll import information about your current workforce.

There are a couple ways to add and edit workers within your Zenefits account.
Adding your current workforce in bulk is the easiest and most efficient way to move data into Zenefits.
For new workers, it's a good idea to wait until you've set up hiring so that we send their I-9 and W-4 tax forms. At that point, you can select Add from the Directory or Hiring app on your dashboard. See Step 4 for more information on how to set this up.
There is also the option to do a Bulk Update/Export, which is beneficial to add information beyond the basic types included in the steps above. Note that this option is only to update existing information; you cannot add new workers here. Navigate to the Directory app, and in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see Bulk Update/Export.
Note that if you are using the Zenefits Payroll product, you will need to add everyone who you have paid this calendar year, even if they have since been terminated. They will not affect the number of seats that you have purchased in your Zenefits plan as long as you mark them as terminated.
