How to Assign Work Locations to Remote Workers

It is important for all workers to be assigned to accurate work locations at all times for tax purposes.  If someone is working from their place of residence, their home address should be assigned as their work location to ensure state and local taxes are generated appropriately in Zenefits Payroll.
 
The steps to mark a worker as remote in Zenefits are as follows:
  1. Access the worker profile.
  2. Under Personal Information, scroll to the Address section. 
    Note: We recommend taking a screenshot of (or copying & pasting) the existing address-- when you click the edit icon, the original value will disappear from the field
  3. Click the edit icon, re-enter the address, and check the "Assign as Work Location" box.
  4. Save
This will create a new work location for that individual under Company Profile and automatically assign the worker.
