When you're ready to give someone a promotion, there are a few things that we recommend doing to ensure a smooth process.
- Document any changes in role change, pay rate, etc.
- If possible, make the change align with the start of a new pay period, or be prepared to run an off-cycle pay run
- Determine if your company needs to outline any policies surrounding promotions or role changes
