The instructions below only apply to companies who use the Contractors app on their dashboard.
Near the end of the year, Zenefits provides the option to update 1099s with any contractor payments not made through Zenefits.
- Only contractors who were paid at least $600 during the tax year by a company that chose to have Zenefits generate 1099s can add payments made outside of Zenefits.
- Near the end of the year, administrators will receive an email that requests any historical payments.
- Historical payments can be entered using the Contractors app under the More tab.
