This page explains how to add an unpaid CEO or owner in Zenefits by "hiring" them.
Begin the hiring flow as normal
From your admin dashboard, click the Add a Team Member button in the Hiring app. Or click the Hire button from the Directory app.
Zenefits' default offer letter is for salaried employees. Admins may want to create and upload a custom template for hiring any other employment types.
Enter the employment information
- On the Job Details page, select Full-Time from the employment type drop down menu.
- On the Offer Details page, select Salaried from the compensation type drop down menu.
- Enter $1.00 into the Salary field. You'll then change this amount to 0 in Payroll.
