In the unfortunate event that a company needs to file a life insurance claim, the process to file a claim may vary slightly.
The group's insurance broker can assist with this process, however, in most cases, the employer will need to send the insurance provider a copy of the employee’s death certificate. The employer can get this certificate from the funeral home, crematorium, or the employee’s family.
