My Employee's tax information is incorrect

Employee's tax information is setup in payroll based on the employees work location, home address, and personal tax information entered in their dashboard. 

  • To update an employee's work state, you will need to update the employees work location.
  • If the employee's home address does not match the employees work state, they will be setup to be taxed in both states.
  • If an employee mentions their personal tax information is incorrect, please have them confirm the Tax information in their Zenefits dashboard is correct. Employees can check and edit their 'Tax Information'  under the Personal Information App on their dashboard. 

If the tax information is incorrect, please have the employee update their information which will sync to payroll in 1-2 business days. 
If the employee's personal tax information, work location and home address are all setup correctly, please contact support.
