One-on-Ones is a feature of Performance Management that allows employees to effortlessly schedule regular meetings with coworkers, add structured Topics to prioritize talking points, and utilize Follow Ups to easily keep track of agreed upon tasks and check-ins.

To create a new One-on-One with your coworker:
  1. Once logged into your Zenefits account, navigate to the Performance Management app.
  2. Go to the One-on-Ones tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click New Meeting and select a coworker to invite.
  4. To plan a new One-on-One, click the Add Meeting button.
  5. Customize your meeting:
  • To change the date of the meeting, click on the three dotted lines to the upper right corner of the date and select Edit Date.
  • Add any topics, follow ups, or private notes.
All changes are automatically saved, so you can close the window and come back at any time.

Have a thought you’d like to jot down after your meeting has wrapped up? There’s an option to add private notes to a One-on-One! Only you will be able to view the notes you write, however, both participants will have the ability to add their own private notes after the one-on-on

To add private notes:

  1. From the One-on-Ones tab under the Performance Management app, select the colleague and meeting you wish to add notes to
  2. Enter any desired notes under the Private Notes heading.

Follow ups are tasks or topics that can be created in the context of a one-on-one:

  1. While viewing a One-on-One, select Add Follow Up.
  2. Enter the follow up.
  3. Click the green check mark to save.

A topic is what will be discussed during the meeting. The topic of the one-on-one will always be assigned to the person that created it.

To view an existing One-on-One with a coworker:

  1. Once logged into your Zenefits account, navigate to the Performance Management app.
  2. Click the One-on-One tab at the top of the page, then select a coworker to see meeting details, topics, follow ups, and private notes.

Only the invitees of the one-on-one will be able to view these!
