Tracking Sick and Personal Leave

As of July 1, 2015, all employers with CA employees must offer sick leave to employees. See this page for more information on compliance with this law.

To track available and used sick leave and personal usage

  1. Time Off app > Balances > Sick


  1. If the company has a separate policy for personal leave, click Personal to the left of Sick. 

Both sick leave and personal leave hours are rounded up to the nearest multiple of four to make sure an employee has at least a half day to use.

Zenefits allows admins to track sick and personal types on existing PTO policies or in separate, dedicated policies.
