How do I change a Company Default Workday?

When someone enters a request for Vacation or Time Off, the number of total hours requested is calculated as:

    Number of Working Days x Company's Default Workday = Total Hours Requested

A typical work day is 8 hours. However, the length of a workday may have been defined differently depending on the company's PTO policy.

Changing the Company Default Workday

The primary administrator can change the default workday by following the steps below.

  1. Click Settings in the Time Off App.
  2. Select the policy you wish to edit from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Hours & Workweek, then click View or Edit Hours
  4. Adjust the number of hours in a standard workday.
  5. Click Save.

*The number of hours entered will determine the number of hours deducted from the balance if a full day off is requested.
