How to Manage PTO in the Zenefits Mobile App

How to Request Time Off

Workers who want to request time off in the Zenefits Mobile App can do so using the process below.

  1. Open the Zenefits Mobile App.
  2. Tap the Time Off icon from the bottom menu.
  3. Select the Request Time Off option.
  4. Select the appropriate reason for the desired time off.
  5. Select the All Day option if the desired time off covers one or more full work days. Select the Custom Hours option for time off that will last less than one day.

If All Day is selected:

  1. Select the Start Day option and select the first date that you will be out of the office
  2. Select the End Day option and select the last date that you will be out of the office
  3. Review the Request Summary prior to submitting the Time Off Request
  4. Select Submit for Approval when the request is ready to be sent

If Custom Hours is selected:

  1. Select the date you will be out of the office
  2. Select the number of hours you will be out of the office
  3. Select Submit for Approval when the request is ready to be sent

How to View Historical Time Off Requests

Previous Time Off requests can be found by clicking History from the right corner of the Time Off section.

  • The Upcoming Time Off section will display the dates and times for any existing Time Off requests, including requests that have yet to be approved.
  • Time Off requests that have not yet been approved will be denoted by a gray circle containing three white dots. Approved requests will be denoted by a green circle with a white check mark.
  • As long as you've been assigned to a Time Off policy by your employer,  you'll see the remaining available PTO hours under the Available Time Off section.
